Will the government of The Bahamas confirm or deny whether it used taxpayer dollars to sponsor, support or in any way facilitate, R-Kelly’s concert held in Nassau? That is something the government of The Bahamas never does and never ought to do for anyone’s privately organised concert event. Was it done this time around?
The Prime Minister was front-row and centre at the concert – again something that doesn’t happen for a privately organised urban concert that would attract a mostly young audience – and no one is going to come here and tell me foolishness that the Prime Minister is R Kelly’s biggest fan, hence his front row seat.
If the government did not use our tax dollars in this event, let them confirm the same please – because our tax dollars are ALWAYS our business and any Bahamian, from the homeless man to the Bishop of the State Church, has the right to approach any government Minister at any time and ask him or her what they are doing with their money.
THEY WORK FOR YOU – NOT YOU FOR THEM AND THE MONEY THEY SPEND IS YOURS. ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT.
